ST. BASIL'S CATHEDRAL IN MOSCOW'S RED SQUARE

Yelena hails from Moscow, Russia, where she worked for many years as an upper-level engineer in their Ministry of Energy.

RED SQUARE
Lena's workplace in the Ministry of Energy was located very close to Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, and the Kremlin. In the center of this photo of the Kremlin (taken from
the middle of Red Square) is Lenin's tomb.

This is the Kremlin as seen from a bridge crossing the Moscow River. St. Basil’s Cathedral and Red Square are on the opposite side of the Kremlin as viewed in this photo.

Anya Tchaikaouskaite

Lena's daughter, Anya, completed her final year at a prestigious 5-year Russian "Academia" in Moscow that is equivalent to the US Customs Service. Anya, who had the distinction of holding the highest grade point average of all the men and women in her class, graduated with honors in June of 2002. [Anya was originally supposed to serve for 3 years on active duty as an Officer in the Russian Customs Service as a “pay back” for her education. However, after these Customs Service jobs were converted to civilian jobs not long after Anya graduated and reported for duty, the Russian government voided and eliminated any ‘pay back’ obligation!]

This is the day when Anya raised her RIGHT hand and said

“I DO!”

(The US Navy never gave STEVE any FLOWERS!)

On 14 June 2002 Anya completed the last year of her 5-year Academia and graduated as an Officer in the Russian Customs Service. She maintained the highest grade point average in her class!
