Anya
Tchaikaouskaite
Lena's
daughter, Anya, completed her final year at a prestigious 5-year Russian
"Academia" in Moscow that is equivalent to the US Customs
Service. Anya, who had the distinction of holding the highest grade
point average of all the men and women in her class, graduated with
honors in June of 2002. [Anya was originally supposed to serve for 3
years on active duty as an Officer in the Russian Customs Service as
a pay back for her education. However, after these Customs
Service jobs were converted to civilian jobs not long after Anya graduated
and reported for duty, the Russian government voided and eliminated
any pay back obligation!]
